Enter a wedding date to list the date of each anniversary, how many days away it is, and a countdown to the next one. Traditional names are given as two separate sets, Chinese and Western (paper/cotton… versus Paper/Cotton…) — they are not translations of each other and diverge on several years (year 4 is silk in the Chinese set but Fruit & Flowers in the Western one), so they are kept apart. For a 29 February wedding, common years use 28 February (end-of-month clamping), and the result says so — without that, seeing “the anniversary is not the wedding day” looks like a bug. Everything runs on your device.

Features

  • Each anniversary’s date with how many days away it is
  • A countdown to the next anniversary, reading “today” on the day
  • Traditional names as two separate sets, Chinese and Western
  • Show one set, the other, both or neither; adjustable number of anniversaries (up to 60)
  • A 29 February wedding uses 28 February in common years, stated in the result
  • Anniversary dates clamp to month end, never spilling into 1 March
  • Pick the wedding date from the native calendar, no format to guess
  • The date never leaves your browser — no network, no logging

How to use

  1. Open the picker and choose the wedding date
  2. Choose how many anniversaries to show, and whether to show the names

FAQ

Why do the Chinese and Western names differ?
They are two naming traditions that grew up separately, not translations of one another. Most years happen to agree (year 1 is paper in both, year 25 silver in both), but several diverge: year 4 is silk in the Chinese set and Fruit & Flowers in the Western one; year 12 is linen in the Chinese set and Silk in the Western one. So both are listed, rather than applying one to the other.
Married on 29 February — which day is the anniversary in common years?
28 February (end-of-month clamping), and the result says so. Customs differ, and some use 1 March; the point is to pick one and state it, rather than leave users thinking the tool is broken when the anniversary is not the wedding day.
Does “anniversary N” count from the wedding day or one year on?
Anniversary 1 is the same day one full year after the wedding (wedding date + 1 year). The wedding day itself is day 0, not anniversary 1.
