Online Dice Roller

Generators

Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded

Output

Pick from d4 to d100, or set your own number of faces. Roll up to 20 dice at once, get each pip and the total, plus a per-face tally when you roll more than one. Handy for tabletop sessions and for showing how a distribution fills out. Pips are drawn by rejection sampling, so every face is equally likely — a byte holds 256 values and 256 is not a multiple of 6, so a plain modulo would over-weight the first four faces. Set a seed to reproduce the same batch exactly. Everything is computed in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Features

  • Seven standard dice (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100) plus custom faces (2–100)
  • Roll 1 to 20 dice, with each pip and the total
  • Optional modifier (+N), applied to the total
  • Sort the results to see them at a glance
  • Per-face counts when more than one die is rolled
  • Rejection sampling keeps every face equally likely
  • A seed reproduces the exact same batch for demos and tests

How to use

  1. Choose the number of faces, or pick Custom and enter one
  2. Set how many dice and an optional modifier
  3. Enter a seed to reproduce a batch, or leave it blank for true randomness
  4. Results and the per-face tally appear immediately

FAQ

How is this different from a random number generator?
A die starts at 1 and every face is equally likely. A byte holds 256 values, which is not a multiple of 6, so taking a plain modulo would give the first four faces a slightly higher chance. Rejection sampling discards values in the uneven range and redraws, so all faces are equal.
What happens when I set a seed?
The same seed always produces the same pips, which is useful for reproducing a run. The trade-off is that it comes from a 32-bit generator, so anyone who knows the seed can recompute it — fine for demos, not for secrets.
What are the limits?
Up to 20 dice per roll and 2 to 100 faces. For larger draws, the random number tool is a better fit.
Is anything uploaded?
No. Everything is computed in memory in your browser, no request is made, and it works offline.
