Flip a Coin Online

Generators

Everything runs locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded

Output

One flip is a single bit and tells you nothing about bias; a batch does. This tool flips 1 to 1000 coins, shows each result, and tallies how many came up each way with the share — the more you flip, the closer the share gets to 50%, which is the law of large numbers made visible. Rename the two sides to match your situation, for example Red team / Blue team. Enter a seed to reproduce the same batch. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.

Features

  • Flip 1 to 1000 coins in one go
  • Rename both sides — the defaults are just starter labels
  • See each individual result
  • Counts for both sides, with the share to one decimal place
  • Rejection sampling, the same random-source discipline as the dice roller
  • A seed reproduces the exact same batch
  • Computed locally — no network requests, no logging

How to use

  1. Choose how many coins to flip (1–1000)
  2. Rename the two sides if you want
  3. Enter a seed to reproduce a batch, or leave it blank
  4. Results and statistics appear immediately

FAQ

Why flip 1000 coins at once?
A single flip shows nothing. A batch shows frequency converging: the more you flip, the closer the share of heads gets to 50%, which is the law of large numbers in front of you.
Is the result truly random?
With an empty seed it comes from the browser built-in crypto.getRandomValues, a cryptographically secure source. With a seed it becomes a reproducible pseudo-random sequence — easy to rerun, but no longer unpredictable.
Can I rename the sides?
Yes. Both sides are editable: use Red / Blue or anything else, and the statistics follow the labels you set.
Where does the data go?
Nowhere. It stays in memory on your machine, no request is made, and it works offline.
