Input
Output

Enter a date of birth to see how many days you have lived, expressed as weeks-and-days, months-and-days, and years-months-days. Leap years are handled by the site’s shared date arithmetic, so nothing is a day out. You can also set a reference date to look at a day in the past or the future. There is an explicit switch for whether the birth day counts: the two conventions differ by one day, and that day lands in a user’s hands on their birthday, so it is an option rather than a silent choice. The 1000th, 5000th and 10000th days are listed too, marked as passed or still to come. Everything runs on your device.

Features

  • Days, weeks (with remainder), months (with remainder) and years-months-days at once
  • Leap years handled by the site’s shared algorithm, never a day out
  • Whether the birth day counts is an explicit switch, stated in the result
  • Set a reference date to look back or ahead
  • Lists which date the 1000th, 5000th and 10000th days fall on
  • Each milestone marked as already passed or still ahead
  • Pick the date from the native calendar; mobile shows the system picker
  • The birth date never leaves your browser — no network, no logging

How to use

  1. Open the picker and choose a date of birth
  2. Optionally enter a reference date (empty means today)
  3. Decide whether the birth day counts, to match your own convention
  4. Days, weeks, months, years and milestones appear immediately

FAQ

Why do the day counts differ by one?
Because counting the birth day as day one or as day zero are both in use, and they differ by exactly that one day. It lands in your hands on your birthday (365 versus 366, which looks like a bug), so it is a switch you set yourself, and the result says which convention was used.
Do leap years throw it off?
No. The day count uses the site’s shared date arithmetic (whole days on a UTC basis), so leap years and daylight-saving changes never shift it by a day.
Which date is my 10000th day?
The tool lists the dates of the 1000th, 5000th and 10000th days, marked as passed or still ahead. “Day N” means birth date + N days (the birth day is day zero).
